Dave and his men dived behind sandbags and the building walls, with the Nazis hard on their tails. Their rifles spitting out bullets. Nazi bullets were coming their way and he felt several bullets zipping by him, the wind of their passage washing over his cheek. An incoming rocket hit nearby, throwing shrapnel everywhere. It actually took out several of their own Nazi troops but some of the shrapnel hit the right shoulder of Li. Medics rushed to her and carried her away. She had tried to protest but passed out from the shock of the wound. Tey got another break as the enemy pulled back. He only had 3 magazines left and the other men were in the same situation. He was informed that reenforcerments were still 20 minutes away. Dave figured they would only have ammo for this next attack and then it would be hand to hand fighting.
The Nazis came again. The fighting was sharp and the sound of shooting was a constant roar. Dave was down to 15 rounds of ammo and others were out. He gave the order for the last of the claymores to be fired, which shredded many Nazis. He gave the order to retreat inside.
Nazis were swarming the inside of the White House. Dave was slowly giving ground backwards down the main hall. York at somehow gotten seperated during this last attack. Enemy were coming at him. He shot one enemy. Just as he had shot, the Nazi had moved and Dave's bullet had taken him in the side of the neck. The Nazi's jugular was spraying blood all over a painting of the “Tree of Liberty” hanging on the wall. Dave's mind was thinking of how ironic it was about the saying that the Tree of Liberty needed watered by the blood of patroits and tyrants as the Nazi's blood sprayed the painting.
He had just reached the open doorway of his office when his FAL locked back on an empty magazine, he was out of ammo. He knew he kept 2 magazines in his desk drawer and dived through the door to get them, feeling the tug of a bullet tearing a chunk out of his boot heel. Yanking his desk drawer opem, grabbing a magazine, inserting it in the FAL and closing the bolt. Just in time to see 3 Nazis come through the doorway, each holding a captive – Mike, Granny and Mae. Clutching the captives in front of them as shields, the Nazis told Dave to surrender.
Mike was crying, then saw Dave and stretched out his arms to Dave, screaming “DAAADDDDYYYYY!!!!”

Oooof! When it comes to triage, though, Mae is who she is and Mike, though an innocent in all of this, is not his. Depending on who the three nazis are... is one of them Mike's daddy?

The Nazi holding Mike just smirked and said again for him to surrender. Dave's mind was racing, trying to come up with a solution of what to do. Then Granny caught and held his eyes. She looked sideways at the Nazi holding Mike and blinked her eyes twice at Dave. Then Granny made her move.
Some how twisting her body enough, she was able to drive her manure stomping booted foot into the groin of the Nazi holding Mike, causing him to drop Mike and bend over grasping for breath. Mike started running for Dave. He hoped Mike would remember the “game” they used to play and yelled “DOWN! HIDE!” Mike did. He dropped to the floor and fast crawled behind and under Dave's bullet proof desk.
The Nazi holding Granny over compenated in trying to pull her back under controll and Dave heard a snap as Granny's neck broke. The Nazi realized she was dead and flung her lifeless body at Dave, who sidestepped it. Dave pulled the trigger on his FAL and shot the soldier and then rode the recoil over to the other Nazi who was trying to recover from Granny's groin kick and shot him.
The last Nazi pulled Mae in closer to him and told Dave to surrender or his woman would die. Mae got a terrified look on her face and started screaming that they had a deal. That she would get them in here in exchange for her being able to join the Nazis. The soldier said the sex with her the last few nights hadn't been that great. Dave flicked the selector switch on his FAL to full auto as he squeezed off a 10 round burst. The burst pf 7.62x51 FMJ bullets punched through Mae's body and into the Nazi soldier's body, shreding their heats and lungs. His FAL again locked open on an empty magazine as he watched Mae and the Nazi fall to the floor with surprised looks on their faces as they died.
Dropping the spent magazine from his rifle, he felt in the desk drawer for the last magazine, finding it he inserted it in his rifle and sent the bolt home, chambering a round. He called for Mike, asking if he was okay. Mike looked out from under the desk and seeing Dave, yelled DADDY! With the help of Dave's left arm, Mike was soon snuggled against Dave's chest and his little arms wrapped tight around Dave's neck.
Dave could still hear shots coming from inside parts of the building. Overhead he heard helicopters and the swoosh of rockets ;eaving their pods under the helicopters. He heard miniguns firing and men screaming in pain. Looking towards heaven Dave said “Lord God Almighty, strenghten me for the rest of this battle and give us bictory over this evil, in the name of Jesus Christ I asl. Amen”
Holding Mike in a way he couldn't see the lifeless bodies of Mae and Granny, he stepped through the door of the office, headed to the front door and the battle, telling Mike “Come on my son, we have work to do.”
Nearing the front door, he heard a lot of voices. Peeking around the corner, he saw a bunch of soldiers and was preparing himself to renew the battle when he realized they were US soldiers. Reenforcements had arrived. Someone saw him and yelled “its the President!”
Soon he was getting battle reports of what was going on. The Nazis were in full retreat but were being destroyed with no mercy. It was another hour before the battle was ended and things were sorted out. They tried getting Dave to eat but he said he needed to make sure his men were okay before him. He refused food until he made sure his men were fed and tended to.
Out of the 500 men he had started with, only 50 were lefy that were able to fight. 100 were wounded and in the makeshift hospital and the other 350 were dead. Estimates so far was they were fighting 5,000 Nazis. Dave personally thanked each of the remaining 50 men, shaking their hand and telling them how proud he was of them. He did the same with all 100 wounded, making sure he called them by their first name. To a man, they all promised that once they were better, they would be back to protect him. Tears welled in his eyes at the loyalty of his men. He knew that some of them would lose arms and legs. He promised all a place on his bodyguard team.
He saw Li among the wounded and she said she was waiting on surgery for her shoulder but they couldn't put her under while they operated. The doctor had discovered she was 6 weeks pregnant with Lian's baby. She started crying over the loss of her husband. Dave reminded her she would now always have Lian with her through the child she was having.
As they carried the dead away, Dave stood at attention and saluted the body of each fallen US soldier as it was carried by, all 350 of them. The reenforcement soldiers were thinking it was no wonder these soldiers had fought so hard for this man against such overwhelming odds. They knew there were very few leaders who fought along side of their men. Most were pushers who told men to go do things.
At the end of the day, only after Mike was fed, bathed and sleeping did Dave tend to himself.
He made a video for his Dave's Dialogue explaining what had happened, including Mae's betrayal again. He warned people to be watchful and prepared for widespread attacks by the Nazis.
10 days later he was sitting at his deask when 4 guards escorted 2 people into his office. He recognized Chad and Tyrone Badboyz. He asked what they wanted. They responded “well Davey, we want money.” That earned each of them a smack on the back pf their heads for disrespect. Rubbing their heads, they said that since Mae was dead, their was Mike's dad but they would sign over their rights for Mike if Dave gave them $1,000,000.
Laughing, Dave sid “let me get this straight” You committed the crime of adultery with my wife, you got ger pregnant and tried making me think it was my child, then come here and try to extort money from me for your crimes. Chad and Tyrone's faces turned pale. Dave told the guards to take them outside and tie them to the wall.
Outside, Dave had his FAL and read judgement pn the Badboyz – death. 2 shots later and the lifeless bodies of Chad and Tyrone hung from their bound hands over their heads. Dave turned and walked back inside.

3 weeks later Dave was sitting in his office. The White Haouse and grounds were being cleaned up. It would be a long task taking years. He ordered the hallway and Tree of Liberty painting tp be left alone. He wanted future generations to be able to see the bullet pocked walls and blood splattered painting and know that liberty is not free.
He heard noises and looked at the corner of his office. Li was in a recliner chair watching Mike play with his blocks. She was recovering nicely from her shoulder wound. She was basically Mike's nanny and teacher.
Dave had lost Lian and Jones in the attack. Li had been injured and York had been found under a pile of rubble, knocked out. He was now back in charge of the bodyguards.
It was 2 months to election time. He was looking forward to going back to a peaceful quiet life. He wasn't sure what he would do. Mike inheirited Granny and Mae's farm but no way was he going to live there. He would have someone caretake the farm until Mike was old enough to take over. He turned in his chair and marked 1 more day off on the calender til he left office.

After a proper time of morning, Li would make a fine wife, she already has a good relationship with Mike and she would be a great person to "have Dave's back."

Dave had talked with the heads of other countries about the need to eliminate the 4th Reich of Nazis. They were all in agreement about hunting them down and killing them. Then a few countries backed out, then it became a mass exodus of countries backing out till all of them had quit.
His IT team had found out the attack on the White House, the Mazis had come from several “closed” military bases in the US. Cocuments were found showing that at the end of WW2, mosy countries had given asylum to a lo of the top Nazi leaders, military and scientists. It showed that most US Presidents and their administrations had known about this and were funding the Nazis. It didn't matter which political party was in office, they all were involved.
Dave had been improving the defense of DC after the last attack. The nation of Israel had their Iron Dome protecting their country. He set up what was being called Dave's Dome over DC. He was also heefing up all the military bases – lots of ammo, grenades, rockets missiles. He also let the people know to be prepared for any more attacks. He made sure they had access to any guns and ammo they would need. He encouraged the people to grow as much food as they could.
Dave had supper with his son Mike and Li. After supper he played with him, bathed him and read a srory for bed. The doctor had said Li's shoulder was healing nicely and her pregnancy was good. Dave marked another day off on his calender. Just 30 days till election and shortly after that he could find another place where he could have peace and quiet abd have a small farm.
He already had Real Estate agents looking and he had feelers out. Clyde / Striker from back in the Appalachia was also looking, he knew what type of place Dave was interested in. His store was doing good but he could continue to have people run it for him and he could receive the profits anywhere he lived.

Dave drifted off to sleep, thinking about soon being on a farm of his own. He was dreaming that he and Mike were sitting on the bank of a pond fishing. He was gazing around and saw his crops were growing nicely. He heard the moo of a cow and looked that way and saw a Jersey cow and her calf, along with a Hereford steer grazing in the pasture. The sounds of pigs rooting in their area carried to his ears. Cnickens were scratching nearby, ducks and geese were swimming across the pond. Everything was so quiet and peaceful.
Except for that loud siren and heavy pounding. He awoke to flashing red lights, a siren blasting and pounding on his bedroom door. He heard York yelling for him to wake up. Dave yelled to come in, as he was scrambling to get his clothes on. York was yelling that he needed to get to the safe room which was also the backup command and control room. That we are under attack and numerous missiles are inbound on courses to strike all over the nation.
His FAL and ammo slung over his shoulder, Li carrying Mike, they headed down several levels to the safe room.

In the command and control room, Dave was getting reports and watching inbound missiles on the radar screen. Reports showed that 3 missiles had been launched from Canada and 2 from Mexico. Since they were so close in flight time, all 5 had struck the nation. 10 missiles had been tried to be launched by the Nazis from within the US but the IT team had been able to shut them down.
The radar screen was tracking numerous missiles launched from many countries. There had to be at least 150 missiles. They were coming from countries in South America and Africa. England, France, Spain and Poland had the most missiles coming from them. Only 2 were coming from Russia and none from the Middle East. Dave guessed Muslims and Nazis didn't go together in beliefs.
His men were able to shoot down most of the missiles but there were at least 30 that made it through and hit in the US. Dave's Dome worked wonderfully and was able to stop missiles intended for DC. It looked like the 4th Reich of Nazis had infiltrated high levels of government in a lot of countries. Dave ordered missile strikes against all countries that had attacked. 300 outgoing missiles were soon on their way. The US was basically in a war against the rest of the world.

More missile strikes had been exchanged in the last 3 weeks. Dave's men had been able to shoot down most of the incoming missiles but enough had got through and the US had lost several major cities. Thankfully no one had used any nukes.
The Nazis had launched ground forces against the US. Most military bases had been under attack. In cities it was door to door fighting between the armies. In the country, the Nazis were bogged down. The local country boys may not of had military weapons but what they did have was scoped deer hunting rifles. The Nazis found themselves being sniped at. A single shot would ring out and a soldier would drop dead.
About 3 weeks into the war, Dave's team got a message from a person along the Carolina shores. He called themself NCWEBNUT. He was reporting numerous cargo ships unloading many Muslim soldiers. So Dave's belief that Nazis and Muslims wouldn't work together had been wrong. NCWEBNUT said the locals would be able to harass and slow down the Muslims but Dave needed to send military help quickly.
1 year into the war, the US military and people were making a strong headway against the Nazis. Dave was mad though. The war had started before he could leave office, therefor elections had been put off and the people had him leading the war. Several times the Nazis had sent forces against him in DC but not to the extent of the 1st attack that had almost got him. The other attacks were fierce but had been beaten back.
