Oh Sam as in Surface to Air Missile

Contacting Clyde, he was told that a jet was supposedly going to bomb Dave's place. He, Mae, Mike and Granny were going to be moved to somewhere else for safety in case it was true. Dave loaded hi family up and they were soon staying at another person's place.

Any jet making a bombing run would have to fly up or down the valley. Clyde and another man were stationed at either end of the valley, both had SAMs – Surface to Air Missiles ready to be launched. It took 2 days before the jet showed up. It came in over Clyde's position, he launched. The plane's system detected it and the plane started to avoid but it was close enough that the SAM was able to hit the plane and the bomb went off target and exploded in the far end of Dave's field. Close enough to rattle windows in the cabin and later Mae found out some of her plates were busted.

The jet was trailing smoke and losing altitude, as 2 parachutes appeared. The jet crashed into the side of the mountain and thankfully no one lived near the crash site. A group of townsmen with Clyde leading them, went after the downed pilots.

They soon found the pilots with local dogs baying at the base of the trees that their parachutes had gotten caught in. Both pilots were dangling about 20 feet off the ground in tall oak trees. The pilots were a man and a woman. The woman pilot hadn't tried to get down because she was afraid she might break a fingernail. The man pilot was wearing high heeled shoes to show his support of political correctness.

When the townsmen got done laughing their heads off, they called the dogs off and got them done. Tying their hands behind them they marched the 2 prisoners back to Dave's place. Once there, the overhead barn beam was used again to hold them up with their hands tied to the beam.

Dave and his family had come back home, Mae had already been in the cabin and she was madder than a wet hen at the damage. Dave asked for their names, no answer. Both pilots recognized Dave and who he was, the most wanted “terrorist” in the nation. The woman pilot tried bluffing and told Dave he couldn't hit a woman. Before he could answer, Mae stepped up and said “he may not, but I will”. Mae said the bomb had broke the plate that had belonged in the family for 150 years. Then she smashed a strong right fist into the woman pilot's nose. Bystanders heard the noise as her nose broke and blood went everywhere. Mae quickly followed up with a left fist too. Then a double handed smash to the woman's stomach. Now the woman was on her monthly cycle and already had very bad, painful cramps, so that double fist punch sent shockwaves of pain throughout her body and she passed out.

Someone took a bucket of cold water and threw it in the woman pilot's face which revived her. Dave asked Clyde to take over the questioning. It was found out that Dave;s place was the 1st strike but other places were also being bombed. It was told that a 3 letter agency located in Langley, Virginia were the ones that setup and ordered the attack.

Dave had recorded it all and made another video and hacked into the TV evening news. Dave had also done enough IT computer work that he was able to finally find a backdoor into the 3 letter agency that ordered the attacks. They were planning another strike on him, this time with 3 jets.

The jets were warming up and getting ready for take off. Dave hacked the coordinates and reprogrammed the attack points for the headquarters of the 3 letter agency. The jets gained attitude and turned to the target listed on their computer. Target was locked in and each jet released 2 bombs. All 6 bombs hit their target and instantly 100's of 3 letter agents died and a massive number of computer systems that controlled a large number of official actions were destroyed.

This story just gets better and better.

It turned out that the CBDC was being controlled through those computers. Now no one had any money in their digital wallets. When officials found out even their digital wallets were empty, the same CBDC that “we the people” were required to have and the officials started trying to buy things using other countries currency, a lot of the people were shocked. Officials were even using gold and silver to make payments.

The Chinese had already sent several planeloads of advance personal to start taking over the 3 States. Officials of those States held welcome parties because they had been given large sums of money and promised high positions in the new Chinese States.

A lot of people in those States disagreed. As the Chinese delegation got off the planes, the locals opened fire. These are the same people who were going to have their homes taken. Chinese officials dropped from multiple gunshot wounds. Some tried crawling back aboard the planes, none were successful.

The locals also took prisoner all the State officials attending the welcome parties. State senators, State representatives, Attorney Generals, city mayors, etc. Locals went aboard the planes and soon discovered more things.

They discovered suitcases full of Chinese money and tubes of Panda gold coins, marked with info on how much each US official was to get. Also there were folders of photos of women and their addresses. These were scheduled to be rounded up, married or single, and given to US officials and the Chinese. More horrifying was another folder containing the same type of info but of young boys and girls under age 10, all to be used as sex slaves.

The locals had been recording this on camera just like Dave. They filmed the documents and then on video, slit the throats of every US official. This video somehow ended up in Dave's hands within a few hours. He had the taste of puke in the back of his throat as he saw the video of documents showing women and children to be used as sex slaves, not just by the Chinese but also by US officials.

Dave hacked the TV news that evening, airing the video. At the end, he looked into the camera and told US officials that they would be all hunted down and killed like the rabid dogs they were. He told the Chinese to stay away.

Needless to say, US officials were very mad that these peasants would dare say no to their master's sexual desires. These peons were just chattel to be used however the “elites” wanted. The Chinese were also mad at being humiliated by the American dogs.

Sergeant York called in 40 Special Forces and 100 US Marines to set up around the area to protect Dave. He figured a bee's nest had just been kicked. He told Dave that the troops would be supplied from other sources. York had SAMs located at all areas of approach to this area, he had antiaircraft guns set up, several tanks at both ends of the valley. And supplies were stationed throughout the area to be readily available.

Dave was standing on his porch with Mae, watching all the hustle going on. Troops were walking around, calling him sir and almost saluting him. And Dave was thinking that all he had wanted was peace and quiet and to be left alone when he moved out here in the beginning.

Within the week, Dave was glad for all the troops around. The alert came in of 3 trucks carrying troops would be here in a few hours. The trucks each had a mounted M249 light machine gun which shot the 5.56 round. Each truck was carrying 12 US Army troops. Dave and York had their men ready to meet the attackers a mile out from the town. Striker / Clyde had his guys still out to protect from any air attacks.

Dave saw the trucks coming. They wanted the trucks saved if possible. It was the classic L shaped ambush. Dave's FAL started the ambush by taking out the driver and co driver of the lead truck. Other shooters took out the other drivers. US troops tried jumping out of the trucks as they slowed to a stop.

At least 1/3 of the US troops died before they could reach the ground. A few of the squad leaders tried getting grenade launchers going. They got a few off which landed short of the townsmen position, but close enough to cause some wounds. Dave was on his 2nd magazine in his FAL, the 7.62x51 rounds punching right through the light concealment the US troops were hiding behind. York with his Special Forces were chewing up the attackers, leap frogging forward as they overran the attacker's positions.

The battle was down to sporadic shots as the last of the attackers were overran. The medics were busy taking care of the wounded. Thankfully there were very few wounds among them. The attackers were searched and stripped of any useful equipment. A Lt had been captured, he had been trying to burn some paperwork and destroying a radio.

York took charge of the 3 troops captured, the US Marines took charge of the trucks and captured equipment. The townsmen hitched a ride on the trucks back to town.

The captured papers showed troop locations and movements. It showed that troop strength was way down and supplies were very low. The Lt was questioned and revealed some more details. It seems that the Chinese were really ticked off and mad at the humiliation of their officials in the mid west. They wanted to retaliate but other countries were holding them back.

Dave was getting some field work done and planting taken care of. The officials had teams harassing Dave by having small teams launch single rockets into the area and then retreating if they weren't wiped out.

There were several attacks made upon Dave and his men. Again US Army were the ones sent. The battles were never lasting long. It was normally about 20 attackers and each side would end up firing 1 or 2 magazines. Dave was no longer involved in most of the battles and was now more of a planner.

In the rest of the country, “we the people” were standing up and cleaning out the trash in their own areas. They were even coordinating with Dave on things. He had never wanted a leadership position, he was just a nerdy IT computer geek turned into hermit farmer. But national leadership had been thrust upon him.

The Chinese were mad, their plans for a foothold in the middle of the US had been thwarted. So they made their plans to get even. They saw Dave as the leader of their humiliation. They snuck in 100 Chinese Special Forces, unloaded from a “cargo” ship off the coast. It took a week for them to make their way cross country to reach Dave's area.

The Chinese Special Force troops were almost discovered once. They infiltrated the area, scouted it and then spread out encircling Dave's place. They all had memorized the photo of Dave and a squad of 6 men were assigned to kill Dave as their primary task.

Dave and Mae had just finished tending the livestock and were strolling back to the cabin. They were armed as always He heard a commotion and looked in that direction, then gunfire erupted all around. He saw Chinese soldiers coming from all directions. The whine of bullets whizzing by sped them up. Mae tripped, dropping the basket of eggs she had been carrying, breaking them all. Dave helped her up, both of their rifles up and firing. Dave's FAL booming out its 30 caliber death.

Dave saw 6 Chinese troops headed for him. They seemed to concentrate solely on him, bypassing US Special Forces and Marines. Mae shot one of them as Dave was inserting a new magazine. Dave and Mae were sprinting for the cabin and the sandbags that had been stacked around it. By now Dave had his FAL on full auto, stroking the trigger and sending off short bursts of 3-4 rounds of 7.62x51.

The 6 men coming at him had been reduced to 3 men. He basically tossed Mae over the top of the sandbags stacked up. He had his left hand on top of the sandbags and levered on his own body over the top. Just as his body cleared the bags, his hand still on top of the bags, an explosion went off.

He screamed in pain as the remaining 3 Chinese troops were coming over the tops of the sandbags. Mae's M16 was spitting bullets. Dave was trying to steady his FAL but his left hand wasn't supporting the rifle. Looking down he saw his left hand was no longer there, blood squirting out where it used to be. Holding his FAL with one hand, he sent the last of the magazine of ammo into the ones coming over the sandbags, wiping them all out.

Dave called Mae's name and she turned around to see blood all over him and Dave holding up his arm with no hand. Mae is screaming MEDIC! MEDIC! as she is applying pressure to stop the blood. A medic comes over the sandbags along with Sergeant York and 2 other men. Dave is propped against the sandbags, going into shock as the medic takes over.

The battle with the Chinese is still raging on. York is rallying his troops and the Chinese Special Forces are slowly being silenced. But the Chinese weren't the “woke” military wearing high heeled shoes and crying for safe spaces like they had been dealing with. These Chinese were men and were making every effort to overrun Dave's position. The US Special Forces and Marines were making headway and the townsmen had come in from the side, catching the Chinese in a pincer move.

Meanwhile the medic was working on Dave, trying to staunch the flow of blood from his arm where his left hand used to be. The medic had a tourniquet around Dave's wrist while he was working on tying off blood vessels. Dave was almost in total shock, Mae was holding his hand, talking to him, trying to keep him aware.

The Chinese were finally defeated, it taking 45 minutes to do it. All 100 Chinese Special Forces were dead, none had surrendered or been taken captive. York had his men gathering bodies and equipment.

The medic was making some progress but he tried whispering in York's ear that he would probably have to cauterize the arm to stop the blood, that there was no place to take him with all the hospitals belonging to the officials. Dave was coherent enough to know what was said and told the medic to do it. The medic started heating some knives in the fire to use.

Dave told York to take Mae into the cabin while this was done. She didn't want to go, wanting to stay with him but he insisted, saying it wasn't going to be pretty. 2 Marines escorted her inside and stayed with her. Granny was inside with little Mike, comforting Mae.

York and 5 other men were holding him down. Dave told the medic to get it over with and with a grin told the medic that if this hurt, he wasn't sending the medic a birthday card this year. The medic chuckled and then applied the heated knives. Dave's long scream carried out over the fields before he finally passed out. Mae heard his scream, tears running down her cheeks tried to get out the door to Dave. The 2 Marines had to restrain her and she ended up on her knees sobbing.

The medic cleaned up the stump of Dave's arm, seeing that all blood had stopped. He bandaged it and then Mae was allowed to come hold his hand. The medic monitored Dave and watched as he came awake. Dave looked around and saw everyone standing over him. He looked at the medic and said that the procedure was painless and he would be getting his birthday card. Everyone broke out laughing.

The medic told Sergeant York that Dave needed a few pints of blood. He asked Dave if he knew his blood type – O positive. York turned around and shouted that O positive was needed for Dave. 50 men stepped forward to donate. They had lost a few men in this battle, 1 Special Force, 3 Marines and 2 townsmen and about a dozen wounded.

The herbalist Ruth recommended meat and bone broth to give strength to Dave along with herbal teas to boost his immune system. Mae saw that the medic was very impressed with Ruth and it seemed like Ruth was paying attention to him. There was about a 10 year age difference, with Ruth being the oldest but love never followed any rules.

Within 48 hours Dave was planning a video. York wanted him to sit during the video – nope. Then they wanted a man standing on each side of him supporting him – nope. He would be standing by himself as a show of strength. Starting the video, Dave was standing with Sergeant York several feet away on his right side and a Corporal Jones from the Marines on his left.

Everyone was armed. York's and Jones eyes were watching all around with their M16s at the ready. Dave was standing tall, his FAL at port arms. Looking into the camera, he stated “I'm still alive.” He said he had lost some weight and held up his left arm and showed the missing hand not there. Dave panned the camera as he said the Chinese had attacked him, showing the dead bodies. Again looking into the camera, Dave said they owed him as he held up the stump of his arm. That evening he put up the video on the news. The fires of freedom had a lot of fuel piled on it that night.

The nation of “we the people” went full force. The rallying cry was “Remember Dave” as they ramped up their efforts to get rid of the officials and their thugs enforcing the evil things. Officials, police, woke military and the entitled “give me” were on the run and being shot on sight. Officials were on the run and trying to hide. A lot of them were heading to DC for protection.

Dave was having his own problems. His left hand kept itching or feeling pain even though it was no longer there. He had heard of phantom feelings in missing body parts but now he was experiencing it. And 1 time little Mike hit the end of his arm stump with his toy rattle, the pain brought tears to his eyes. The medic and Ruth assured him it would get less sensitive as it healed. He noticed that Ruth and the medic were always being seen together.

Dave's troops were skirmishing with small groups of the “woke” military and entitled people thinking they were supposed to be given everything for free. The townspeople were harvesting what crops they had been able to grow.

Sergeant York was getting supplies shipped in from his sources. Food, ammo, clothing and other needed supplies for the Special Forces and Marines. One day a group of 5 men approached saying they were US Army but were against what was happening and wanted to join up. York looked at their hands and saw soft hands that didn't look like any work was done with them. York said he wanted to look in their backpacks. The 5 men said that was against their rights of privacy.

The 5 men quickly found a dozen rifles pointed at them. The men were told to drop their rifles, drop their backpacks and raise their hands. They were searched for any other weapons, several knives were found, each had a grenade, and 1 had a pistol. The backpacks were opened and lo and behold, each had a pair of high heeled shoes in them.

The 5 men were forced to strip, 2 of them were wearing women panties. Everyone was laughing at them. ID was pulled and it was 4 Privates and a LT. The 5 men were crying and said they wanted to be taken to a safe space, they couldn't handle this stress. York told them he had just the place for them. He stood them against a dirt bank and when several Marines raised their rifles, the 5 men realized what was coming and 3 of them let loose a stream of urine. The rifles barked and the 5 men dropped. York had a detail of his men bury the bodies. He walked up to the cabin to give Dave a report of what happened.

That winter was very mild with little snow or ice. The troops had large tents with woodstoves in them. Over the winter all remaining officials and their people had made it to DC and holed up there. No supplies were getting into DC and the only embassy still open was the Chinese embassy.

When spring came, Dave made a video and put it on the evening news show. It was a short one - “We are DC bound!” Every “we the people” east of the Mississippi river mobilized to follow Dave to DC.
