Ain't it a shame that we have way too many Law Enforcement Officers these days and so few Peace Officers? Do most of 'em even know the difference? Believe me, I've talked to enough of 'em to know which way the wind's blowin'. About 3 months ago I had a nice discussion with a Yuba County deputy who lamented what his job was becoming. At least I knew a couple of younger officers in that area who he told me looked like they had their heads on straight and might some day move up enough to positions where their influence might make a difference. Right now, the Sheriff of Butte County seems to be golden. He got lots of good press for his evacuation order when things looked pretty bad at the Oroville Dam, then the media loved him during the Camp Fire mess. He's been workin' with the DA to slam the jail door on looters from both situations. That goes a long way to keep his people on the good side of the average Joe. Oh, btw, the story's lookin' good.

One thing I hope to do is write stories about a variety of Americans from different parts of the country and where they're at on the food chain.
As far as cops go, there are good and bad. Problem is, when there's 2 of them working together, one will NOT correct the other when the 2nd is violating the law such as demanding i.d. upon demand. Or searching a car without a warrant. As far as I'm concerned, that makes both bad cops. However, I have see Youtube videos where senior cops have corrected another one upon arrival at the scene. Some hilarious videos when the cops find out that the person they're dealing with IS ACTUALLY A LAWYER! Some cops got stupid and arrested one in a court house because she advised (for free) that the man did NOT have to speak with the cops without a lawyer. She was arrested on obstruction of justice. That did not end well for those cops. How about the cop who put the nurse in handcuffs and arrested her in Utah for refusing to draw blood on a unconscious patient which was against the hospitals policy? Think he got fired and of course, believe there was a massive lawsuit on that one against the police dept. And all the other cops on that video? Just stood around with their thumbs up their asses as it was being done instead of finding out why she couldn't draw blood. We're cops, we have guns and badges. Fear us. And there's that guy in Dallas who shot the cops. What if he hadn't chosen death by cop? Wonder how cops would be treating people afterwards.
As to Washoe County Sheriff Deputies in Reno area, I've NEVER had any trouble with them except for one week. I did some ass chewing on the 3rd one and he passed the word around. Running to Hayward, Monday thru Friday with me leaving for work usually at 00:30, some times as late as 01:30 when the trailer wasn't going to be ready on time. Got pulled over THREE TIMES that week, with the same question: Sir, have you been drinking? When I got done, the deputy couldn't back up fast enough or get out of there. Yeah, saw a couple of deputy cars the following weeks, but NONE of them went to follow and pull me over. Not real enthusiastic about the Reno/Sparks p.d. though. Last time I dealt with either of them was 20+ years ago.
Of course, maybe it's now the 4 bumper stickers I have on my truck. Like the one that says my rifle becomes an assault rifle when you try to take it from me. Got this and others from Dutch Flat, Calif. which is a small truck/car gas station/convenience store. Others from Ebay, several that I sent to brother in Florida. Had more than 1 positive comment from people who saw them....and NEVER by some liberal, anti-gunner.

I'm one of those people who has no trouble bad mouthing you behind your back, but I also have NO trouble saying the same thing to your face as one dock supervisor found out. And of course, you got a$$ kissers everywhere. I was talking to a couple of other drivers at this company of what I thought of the dock supervisor and next day he confronts me about this....but his story was "slightly" different than what I had been saying earlier. I said yeah, I said all those things, but apparently your a$$ kisser didn't tell you the ENTIRE story. Repeated everything I had said about him and then I added the part the a$$ kisser didn't say. Told him he was a miserable, rotten pr*ck when it comes to his people skills, but that son of a b*tch knows his shit and I can learn a lot from him. Said all of this in front of 3 other drivers who just stood there open jawed. Supervisor said he wasn't told about the last part and that I was at least honest and that was the end of that. At another company, the manager of the place was giving me some sh*t that I felt I didn't deserve. Said to him (in front of other drivers), listen mother f*cker, I had a job before I came here and I'll have a job when I leave here. Turned around, leaving him and everyone with jaws open. Manager didn't give me any more hassles unless I screwed up. At which point I'd apologize.
Currently working on Chapter 4, this time a woman, a Arabic linguist specialist who did her time in the Army. Just started on page 2. Anyone read I Love My Rifle More Than You by Kayla Williams? It's about her time in the Army/Afghanistan as a linguist. REALLY interesting book about women in the Army, what she went thru/saw. Haven't yet bought her sequel where she talks about coming home. Talk about the Army ignoring sexual harassment, etc. Anyway, NO idea when it'll be ready for posting as I'm taking down notes for another story, which may be a husband and wife team who are doctors. Remember the incident of the Utah nurse who was arrested for refusing to draw blood from an unconscious patient because it was against hospital policy? With so many stories like this and others on Youtube, lots & lots of stories waiting to be told.

Oops...see that it's been awhile since I've posted another story on this plot idea. The Shadow's chapter 37 is now on page 9 and don't think it's going to be submitted this weekend like I thought. Simply a case of one thought leading to another. Like Agent Peabody being back in their lives. A little bit ago, watched this Youtube video on 7 signs civil war is about to start and the guys reasoning. Which gave me more ideas for other stories/characters to write up. You might figure out what my comment was. Hopefully this website will not only get more exposure, but anyone checking it out will read EVERYONE'S stories, not just mine. Got no problem or shame in tootin' the horn about this website and other peoples stories. www.youtube.com/watch?v=VEx4EkLEQvA

Once again, not making this bleep up: www.nbcsandiego.com/news/local/Ultralight-Aircraft-Border-Drug-Smuggling-Agents-San-Diego-252461841.htmlwww.kold.com/2019/05/24/us-border-patrol-stops-drug-smuggling-attempt-via-ultralight-aircraft/www.desertsun.com/story/news/local/2018/12/18/ultralight-aircraft-crosses-border-suspected-human-smuggling-operation/2357447002/As for the 3rd article, you need to answer 2 questions about your education & yearly income. I took rather not comment on that last one. Anyway, these articles give me more ideas for use on the 2nd American revolution. And about a year or so ago, read somewhere that Mexicans were using drones and in one case, a catapult to smuggle drugs into the U.S. And don't forget, they also must be related to gophers or the VC, because of the number and sophistication of their tunnels. Anyone remember that James Bond movie where James straps a jet pack on, then hoovers/flys away to safety from the bad guys? And how many rich people have places by large bodies of water....and how many people own jet skis or small, personal hovercraft? Take some shots at someone(s), shells land/sink in the water and of course, NO trace of where the shot(s) came from other than the water.

In a shooting campaign you do not want to be the fastest, for the fastest is the first target....
You want to be the most accurate with a firearm that reaches out and touches....
As old as I am, will not have to worry about being the fastest, unless it is a retreat....

While stationed at March AFB, youngest brother (who's now in Florida) and I went to do some target shooting using soda pop cans. Never got into shooting glass bottles even though they would make a nifty neat sound when breaking. Just hated cleaning up all those glass shards afterwards. Anyway, brother had a pistol and holster...think it was a Ruger .22 revolver and fancied himself a fast gun drawing kind of guy and wanted to show me how good & fast he was. Gets all ready and draws....with the pistol going off and almost shooting himself in the foot?! That's when he decided not to do that any more. And if you look for it, there is a Youtube video where an older guy does the same exact thing, except this time he shoots himself in the foot! As far as quick draw artists go, there's a bunch of 'em on Youtube, but I've NEVER seen them actually shooting at a target and seeing how good they were at hitting a target some distance away. And it's something entirely different when you're facing someone who also has a pistol and is shooting back.

WillC, It has been awhile since the last chapter.... Like 5 months.... Texican.... Don't think so....it was over a year since adding to Tale of Two Brothers and latest chapter's on page 9. It should be posted in a couple more days and then will let it slide for a month or two...or three. Been adding to The Shadow's story which is on page 4 or 5. Not sure which because I bought a refurbished (Dell) pc from Best Buy after coming back from Dads last year. This is the one I'll be using for CAD & 3D figure printing...at least I hope so. Been swapping pc's back and forth as far as using the 1 monitor I've got and it's a pita if I want to go online. Reboot my modem, swap plugs, turn on pc I'm going to use. Use Apache for word processing now and new Dell windows program keeps trying to make me take their word processing program, something I've resisted as I don't know if it'll interfere with Apache. Will buy another monitor so each pc has its own monitor. I've got a REALLY old HP that I really like for things these 2 won't do. In addition to all of this, buy another set of speakers so each pc has its own speakers instead of the hassle of unplugging/plugging in the one set I have. Still need to transfer all my favorites from old pc to new one as I must have several hundred saved w/passwords. This includes several dozen 3D websites. And no, never took the trouble to writing them all down either. Also working on 1 of 4 2nd American Revolution stores, along with having almost 3 dozen characters/skills to use in them. And bought a riding lawnmower a couple of days ago to deal w/front & backyards. Also trying to rebuild a couple of gas weedeaters as lawnmower can't get to the trees & their low branches. After that, replace cable on regular lawnmower which is stuck in drive, so can't pull the cord hard enough to start it. Attachments:

Also trying to rebuild a couple of gas weedeaters as lawnmower can't get to the trees & their low branches. After a number of years, I finally gave up on the Troy-Bilt weedeater that I bought new. While it started easily and ran well, the fuel lines exit the BOTTOM of the gas tank and usually start leaking after a year or so. I replaced the tank after replacing the lines twice and only got 2 years before the leaks started again :-( I replaced it with a 40 volt Ryobi lithium powered weedeater - the very good sale price was comparable to a gas weedeater. It's also comparable to the gas one in cutting width and power and can almost do a start-of-the-season worth of work on one charge. It uses a very durable line (made a season and a half on the first spool). I picked up a second battery on Ebay and I've never used the weedeater enough in one day to run both of them down - not a big deal if I did as the fast charger only needs about an hour for a full recharge and the first battery would be ready again by the time the second one was empty. It's also a little lighter than the Troy-Bilt. I told my wife to consider it my Father's Day present 2 years ago ;-) I don't buy many new items of yard equipment (the Troy-Bilt and Ryobi weedeaters and the Honda electric-start walk-behind mower are exceptions). The riding mower was used (3-4 years old and $450 with the cart). The blade edger was free (Freecycle or Craig's List) - someone had put 2 cycle gas-oil mix in it and the 4 cycle B&S engine didn't like it but that's an easy fix. The shredder/chipper was several years old and a good deal on Craig's List. I did a major revamp of the riding mower over the past year (it's now 15-16 years old) - new wheels/tires up front, replaced bushings in the steering gear, new blades, new belts for the drive and mower deck, have a front steering damper and tubes for the back tires when the rain stops long enough - but all of that still beats $1500 for a new mower.
