I've been away from the board for a while, at least in terms of actively writing/participating.
My mother (who turns 87 on the 21st!) had a mild stroke on the 3rd of July and was in the hospital/rehab for two weeks. The time since then has been home nurse visits, physical therapist visits, doctor's appointments, and handling all her driving needs. She's about 85% back to normal, though, so it's been worth it.
In any case, I've got a few ideas bubbling around and hope to start writing, or at least participating, soon. I've secured my muse in the basement, limiting her to 2 MREs a day until she starts producing again. (And on 2 MREs a day, she won't be producing in another department for a very long time!)
