I'm not sure where to place this topic so I'll place it here. BUNKER MENTALITY, my previous story, is done. Fini. Over.
I'm going to take a break from writing stories but I'm already thinking of possibilities for what the next story might be.
What are your suggestions? What would you like to see? A gang of circus clowns fighting mutated dinosaurs from the distant future? A world overrun by obsessive-compulsive werewolves? A post-apocalyptic future where competitive tooth-brushing is the global death sport of choice?
Do you want a serious story? Funny? Dramatic? A western? Gothic? Pulp science fiction or dystopian? Something Mad Max like or perhaps something more in the vein of Soylent Green or even Logan's Run?
I have a lot of ideas but maybe it's your idea that's the most interesting of all. So now's your chance - Give me your suggestions. Thank you.

I tend to go for serious/dramatic stuff, but I've read all sorts of things. I'd like to see what might happen if we get a grid-down situation that melts down all those nuke reactors--something over 100 of them in the US, and without the rest of the grid, they give up, like Fukushima did. China syndrome, and all that, but they spew into the air when they hit the water table....

Hi folks. I'm just checking in. I'm enjoying my break from PA writing & I am especially glad for all of the stories that are presently ongoing. I'm always amazed at the stories that others write and their writing styles. I've been busy with other non-PA projects (some progressing better then others) and hope to get back to PA writing in the not-too-distant future (pending other developments, like Real Life).
As always, I am always thinking of what my next PA story might be & I would appreciate any suggestions for what that story might be. Remember - It's your story, too. What's the fun of writing a story if no one is going to read it? Thanks.

1. The characters of your choice are riding an AMTRAK train across the mountains when the country is hit by an EMP that takes out all things electric. When it stops part of the train is on a bridge over a river in a tree walled valley.
2. How about a story following a small group of people caught in a subway close to the end of its line when EMP takes out the grid.
3. Tell us a story about three groups of people on a ski vacation in the mountains when EMP hits. One group is mostly liberals (anti-gun), one group of office workers and the other group is hunters/farmers.
4. How about a story about an earthquake in the central US that drops the Mississippi valley draining most of the great lakes into the gulf.

Great, just what I need, another story idea when I have 4 stories in progress already

Hi Scout and I thank you for all of your suggestions. I tried to start a PA story a few months back but my schedule was so impossibly busy at that time (and still is, in many ways) that I had to pull the plug on it before one of my many projects took a hit over it. I am presently working on a number of non-PA projects and one PA project that might see some exposure here. Hopefully, I will be able to present something here at some point in 2014. 1.
