Maybe Tech Support?
I've noticed that the "preview" button actually posts the putative post for me. That doesn't seem exactly right.

Mike,
Has anyone expressed any interest in a Firearms Forum?
I love the fiction, but that is probably my second favorite section.

If someone has a neat Firearm-related post, they could post it in "General"; but on the other hand, a "Firearms" section would also be nice. Guns are one of my all-time favorite things--no matter how the threads are segregated. Hmmm. Would enough people post, to make it worthwhile, to have a "Poetry" section? My Poems come few and far between, and while I stand behind them, are rather unorthodox. That's the only two that I can think of. .....RVM45

Mike, I did think of one other possibility: Creative people often engage in more than one Creative Endeavor. Honestly, I think of myself more as an Artist (Drawing and Painting) than I do a Writer. I'm having trouble getting my own works uploaded to this computer ready to upload to you--so it may be awhile for me...... But a separate Sub-Forum dedicated to Visual Art--if there is enough interest, would be kinda neat. .....RVM45

I hate to keep doing this to you..... Feel free to ignore me.I'm about to share a plot outline--get reactions--helpful hints etc. Generally throw out about five ideas, for each one that I follow up on. I could put it in " General"--which it certainly is. Maybe " Tips to Writers" since I encourage anyone who likes one of my plots to be sure and use it freely. Do you think that if Samuel Clemens had never read " Moby Dick", and someone gave him the Barest Thumbnail Outline, and asked him to write his own book--do you think that it would turn out to be anything like Melville's Tale? Be all that as it may. I may be the only one bursting the seams with Scenarios. But if you think having a Sub-Forum devoted to Plot Discussions would be both useful, and Happy-Making..... .....RVM45

Works for me. And the story would have been much different.

You know, the really funny thing is I was just thinking about this last night, maybe throwing out a couple of sentances or a paragraph and seeing what other people would come up with. "Plot Discussions" is now open under 'Ongoing Stories'

I don't really think this would take a new section, but I wanted to bring the idea up to see who might be interested.
Over there on the Arboreal Rodent site, FleaTaxi used to be real good (along with a couple of others I can't look for any longer) at getting a collaborative story going.
He posted the premise and enough of the story for ONE Character to get things going, then kicked it open to anyone who felt like throwing in a large or small contribution to the story.
Anyone tried that? Anyone over here from there remember it? Did you get involved in it? I managed a few very small contributions to one of the last ones.
Just thought I would throw the idea out there and see who stood up and saluted it.
