After a very long day yesterday, I finally medicated enough to go to bed around 5AM today - hydrocodone + acetaminophen + CBD oil. Sometimes you must find or create your own effective Rx and the pain doc's PA knows that I use the CBD - it's in the daily pain/med log.
Did not sleep well for long. One of the utility companies started digging on both sides of the road where a manhole was once in the center of the road - running a trencher on our property and the property across the road. Looked out the window but didn't see a name on the trucks. There had been blue flags (natural gas) in that area on both sides of the road for more than a month but the trench on the other side of the road is within 5 feet of a pad mount transformer (underground power distribution). Looks like they trenched far enough back from the road on the other side to get a pneumatic pipe-pusher in place to get pipe / conduit / whatever under the road. I slept through the trucks getting in place but not the other equipment moving around and working :-( The pipe-pusher is basically a horizontal jackhammer so you can't miss it when it shakes the ground. Finally up and out of bed after 3PM. The noise is gone but I'm hurting too much to get back to sleep now - I'll probably need two hours for the Rx cocktail to have full effect :-( I hate being old!
