Jim and Ana were tucking their garden in for the upcoming winter season. The LORD had blessed them and gave a good harvest. They preserved as much as they could. They laughed at the thought of the old days when they needed something and ran down to the local store to get it. Or ordering in a large pizza with everything on it and several bottles of Mountain Dew to go with it. Now if they wanted to eat, they had to spend the time cooking it first. Often it was a soup that had been started in the morning and left simmering on the back of the wood cookstove. That way whenever they felt hungry, they ladled a quick bowlful and a chunk of cornbread covered in honey. They would keep adding things to keep the soup topped off, often it would last 3 or 4 days before they started a new batch of soup. As soon as the weather turned cold enough and stayed cold, several deer would be shot and would be providing meat for the winter.
Sure, there were no longer all the fun things and entertainment to do but they made their own entertainment. No more paying expensive amounts of money to go eat or to be entertained. No more social media blaring at them, telling them they needed to reject their dull, boring lives and be involved with the latest fad. In Jim's opinion, social media had been destroying a lot of families by making them unsatisfied with their lives and marriages.
They had 4 deer hanging for the winter season. The cold temperatures had arrived and snows were often swirling around the farm. There was very little outside work to do. Jim would keep a watch around his place with binoculars. When it looked like it would snow, then he would make a quick trip around outside, going out 1/2 mile and making a circle looking for footprints. Then when it snowed shortly after that, it covered his footprints. The twins were growing and crawling all over the floor, sometimes hanging on the dog and trying to stand. The poor dog was patient, standing there as a child on each side had a handful of hair and trying to balance themselves.

Curious to see where this goes now that the evil has been knocked back... Will the evil one try to take vengeance? Will the Lord have more plans for the heroic couple?

The seasons changed and Spring melted the snows. According to what they were hearing on the shortwave radio, the country was starting to recover from the evil grip of the pagan cult of Lucifer and Gaia. There were still hold outs in the cities where a lot of Kevins and Karens lived who liked the power the pagan cult gave them. But the cities couldn't produce anything and when the rural people refused to sell them food and etc, things started breaking down. When people are starving, they soon give up believing fake garbage. They heard that a lot of the cult leaders had been killed and their bodies thrown in the garbage landfills and buried.
It took another 3 years to finally get the pagan cult out of everything. There was a lot of fallout from it. Jim finally had his $14,000,000+ restored to him by the bank. The bank tried to resist him but he showed the bank statements from 1 day prior to the bank giving his money to the pagan cult. They stalled him over everything but eventually caved and put it back in his account. He promptly transferred his money to a local small bank.
Jim and Ana started restocking all kinds of supplies. Even though there was lots of money, Ana stayed true and didn't demand expensive things or trips. She was content to live a simple life on the farm with the children. Jim and Ana had another 3 children. They raised them in God's word and would see them all come to accept Jesus as their own personal Saviour. They all were doing well in their adult lives.
Ana said that it was nice that evil was finally defeated and they didn't have to worry any more. Jim told her that was sadly not true, that evil would not be defeated until the Lord Jesus came back. He said all we had to do was look at the bible about the story of Noah. There were only 8 people saved and all the rest died in the flood. After the flood and people started repopulating the land, even though it was 8 people serving God, it didn't take long for evil to rapidly spread across the world again.
The End.
