amazon.com has H&R Block Federal + State as a $24.99 download for cyber-Monday.

I got a similar deal at Tax Act. I have to do the expensive one that Amazon has for $44.99 due to my side business selling on eBay. I got Tax Act for about the same. Since I used Tax Act last year, it saves me from having to reenter a lot of the information. I miss the days when I could use the free file version.

I don't think the free versions handle royalties either. I'll never be rich from the book sales (unless someone wants the movie/TV rights ;-) but it's nice to have a few more dollars coming. I'll have to check the historic records on Amazon but I think 2023 might be the best year ever ;-)
There was a phone message left yesterday: "You've won the number 3 prize in the Publishers' Clearing House Sweepstakes - $3 million dollars and $7000 a week for life!" Sorry folks, but transfer of those dollar amounts are only listed in paper documents and will always involve lawyers - and I haven't smelled any shysters solicitors lawyers at the front door.

Yep! And according to the PCH website, they do not make initial contact via telephone.

They would make initial contact with cases of forms for you to sign and a schedule of when it would be best for them to "surprise" you at your front door so you look good on TV and the grass has been cut and/or the leaves blown and/or the snow shoveled and/or your probation officer's vehicle won't be there ;-)
