40 liter - 1.45 cu ft 12/24 volt compressor driven fridge/freezer $159.99 + tax free ship ($139.99 if using their app)
running power 50 watts (4.16A at 12 volts).
adjustable down to -20C (-4F) - display is in degrees C only.
empty fridge cooldown time: 77F to 32F is 25 minutes. Use AC adapter to pre-cool before loading fridge with cooled food/drink.
freezing one 1 liter bottle takes 4.5 hours.
Best to use small fridge to maintain temperature of food/drink, not to cool or freeze it.
40 liter fridge weighs about 35lbs.
You need a separate deep cycle (or BMS protected lithium ion or LiFePO4) battery because the highest "low voltage cutoff" is 11.1 volts on a 12 volt system and that will quickly kill most flooded, gel or AGN lead-acid based batteries. The 10.1 volt cutoff is OK for 4S LiFePO4 batteries. The 9.6 volt cutoff is OK for 3S lithium ion batteries.
The 40 liter fridge can hold 29 half liter (16oz) bottles or 54 12 oz cans - IF you are very good at packing and fitting ;-)
All the reviews (16) give it 5 stars.
Only the 40 liter version is available with a US AC adapter - needed if you plan to pre-cool the fridge before putting it in a vehicle such as for a picnic, long trip or weekend camping.
Having this fridge, a large battery (100AH or larger LiFePO4) and maybe 200 watts of solar would be ideal for storing insulin or other Rx meds that need refrigeration during a power outage. Or you could run the car's engine for a couple of hours to cool down the little fridge - not the best choice.
This fridge, plus the Bluetti EB3A that I've posted several links to, should provide 5 hours of compressor run time and at least a day of Rx med refrigeration without other power needed.
No, it's not an Engel but it's not in the $800 and up range either.
