I doubt I am the only one here who uses a ceramic filter in a 5 gallon bucket for a drinking water filter. My problem with them is they are slow and have to be cleaned about every 5-10 gallons of water. Which the cleaning isn't that big a deal but the slow part is because it can not keep up with my personal use during a day of work. So I am going to be making a new one which will have 3 of the filters in the bucket. Three will fit in a triangle pattern. Then it should not only keep up with my use but have enough volume for others to have some as well. This was the best deal I could find on more filters. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08CMQ96P1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1

I timed some ceramic filters and it was about 90 minutes for 5 gallons through one filter. Must have been a clean filter. It usually takes 12 to 24 hours for me to get 5 gallons with a just cleaned filter. By having three I'm hoping to cut cleaning to one or twice a month rather than weekly. But more importantly I'm hoping I can keep a steady supply of drinking water.

Brand new filter, so never clogged from use.
Wonder if you could "reverse flush" those filters with low pressure clean water? If that's possible, you might be able to speed the filters up.
The Sawyer Point Zero Two is rated for 264,000 gallons and then you reverse flush it so a similar - if somewhat higher spec - filter.

The trick there is having pressurized CLEAN water to use, I don't.

The instructions with the Sawyer filter specifically tell you to reserve enough clean water for that reverse flush. I'm aware that some people never read instructions, but Sawyer at least tries to get the owner's attention before they run out of water.

Cleaned the triple filters for the first time today. Twenty one days I'll take it, beats three times a week all to pieces.
