It is still growing. They are looking for a road repair crew. Just have to outrun the fast moving lava, and bring your own water cause the lava ate the water pipe.

Maybe soak the water pipe in liquid nitrogen so it'll stay cold long enough to get it in the ground before it melts?

Just cool it and pump it out of the air around you - that's almost 80 nitrogen.
They do have plenty of heat for a thermo-electric power system to drive the compressors...
