Dave's Story

The great thing about fiction, is we can dream of how it ought to be done.

Just a waste of food that others could use to survive. Feed them grass-leaves-weeds, it would still be too good for them.

The next day at daybreak, Dave and his men started the dirty task of carrying out sentence on the officials. The officials were already griping about being up so early, getting no breakfast and then cussing when they realized that they were being held accountable for their evil deeds. Many saying “you chattel” are not allowed to touch us.

Dave had changed his mind about lining them against a wall, there were so many of them he had crews working during the night using bulldozers and digging trenches. They lined officials up along the trench, shot them and left them tumble into the hole. Dave was recording video of this and would be putting up video as a warning against other evildoers.

It took 12 hours to do the officials found in the “pink house”. No one felt like eating. Some of the children asked where all the “bad people” went and Dave told them that they were sent to God to answer for doing evil. The children smiled and said okay.

Life always throws me curve balls.

Went to the eye doctor and he gave me the “great” news that that I have cataracts in both eyes and will need surgeries on both eyes. No wonder I keep trying to walk through walls. 

On the bright side, a prepper that is having problems with his eyesight could make for an interesting story on here. We will see, pun intended.

You will greatly sppreciate to brighter and more colorful world that cataract surgery will give you.

Get it done. We both have had the cataract surgery and it is wonderful. See like an 18 yr. old and only need reading glasses for up close.

Twilight Zone did one where a reader survived and found a bunch of books. Finally having enough time to read all he wants, he drops and breaks his thick glasses.

A bunch of cheap readers in different strengths would be a good trade item. We gave away a bunch of them when I went to Belize with a medical team.

I was told about ten years ago I had cataracts, but they were so mild I would probably never need surgery.

I had my cataracts out, and it is wonderful. I have worn glasses since I was 11, and my eyes were BAD! Only when they put the new lenses in my eyes there was the correction built in, and so I ended up with 20-30 vision.

Now my eyes continued to age, and I again wear glasses most of the time. Still, my glasses can now be the barely-there type, and I see reasonably well without them. Now I do not HAVE to wear glasses unless I am reading

The guy was sitting down on the steps to the Library of Congress next to a pile of books when his glasses fell and broke.

Always be careful and cognizant for you do not know what will happen.

That night they took sporadic gunshots from handguns. They were able to kill several of the “snipers” and wounded one which became a prisoner. It was gangbangers. From the “colors” they were wearing, it was several different gangs. Questioning the wounded one, Dave and his people were trespassing and hadn't paid their fees. Dave laughed at the gangbanger and told him the gangs days of terrorizing good people were over.

The next day, Dave gave orders for any gangbangers to be shot on sight. Any person wearing “colors” was to be shot. He sent 50 squads of 10 men out, searching block by block around the pink house. They would search out in increasing circles. They found small numbers of more officials and encountered many gangbangers wearing their “colors” and standing in the open with their pants hanging down over their rear ends, mouthing off and shooting Glocks held sideways.

The gangbangers with their poorly held Glocks were no match against M16s. 100s of gangbangers died in the first 3 days and then word must of spread about the shooting of gangbangers with no warning.

On day 5, a man waving a white flag approached a squad and wanted to speak with Dave. They searched the man and brought him to Dave. He was a spokesman for the 10 gangs controlling DC. The gangs wanted to know how much of a “cut” of the action in DC that Dave wanted, for him to end the “turf war.”

I swear my electric bill dropped after I had my cataracts removed. Here they will only do 1 eye at a time annoying because I live rural and both times needed a hotel room. but sure am glad I had it done. Seems every restaurant and paper increased the size of their font:-). I now only need readers in poor light or when I am tired.

Don't hesitate it is so much better with the new lenses.

I have to wait 4 weeks to talk with the actual dr that will do the surgery, then 1-2 weeks til the surgery. And they do 1 eye, then a couple weeks later do the other eye..

So hopefully after that, I will be able to see what color booties that gnat is wearing from 1,000 yards away.

My wife had surgery done a few years back and said she had forgotten how bright and colorful the world is.  Unfortnately I now really have to behave and not make her mad.  Instead of her having to grab the shotgun and hoping she can hit me she is apt to grab the pistol and knows she can hit me.

I started wearing glasses when I was age 9 or 10 and I'm now 60. I have no remembrance of what good eyesight and not wearing glasses is like.

They only operate on one eye then do the other eye when they know that the surgery on the first eye worked.

The first eye could encounter problems including the body reject the implant. Rare, but does happen.

Dave told the man that he wasn't here for a cut of the action. That “we the good people” were here to clean up the evil The man was told to pass on the message that the gangs would no longer be tolerated, they were to put away their guns, burn their colors and work for a living. There would be no lawyers to cover for the gangs, just shot on sight if they were wearing colors or trying to do evil. Dave said the gangs had 3 days to comply or he would actively start hunting them.

By day 2, a lot of “colors” had disappeared. Only the 2 largest gangs were refusing to comply. York and Jones made plans and sent their men out against the gangs. They used the Blawkhawk helicopters to launch rockets into gang strongholds.

The gangbangers were used to the revolving door prison system and this no holds barred attack by Dave's men overwhelmed them. There was no lawyer to have them back out on the streets in hours. They either put away their guns and burned their colors, or died.

Soon the remnants of the gangs had been driven into an isolated section of buildings an the edge of DC. Dave simply called in an airstrike by the B52s. The rumble of the planes could be heard coming in. Dave's men had pulled back and watched 3 big bombs fall on the buildings. All that remained was a huge crater, very wide and deep.

When I had my cataracts out I was shocked when I looked in the mirror: I had gained 10 years in age overnight!

I could see more lines in my husbands face as well, but THAT did not bother me. For him I just figure we all get older, but I had not realized that I was vain about my appearance until the first time I looked in the mirror
