If you're driving in the Atlanta area in the next 9 to 12 months, be aware that the North part of I-285 will be reduced from the current 5 lanes in each direction to the 3 lanes of the 1980's from Roswell Road to Ashford Dunwoody Road while they finish "improving" the I-285 / Georgia 400 interchange - starting in September. If you'll be going through there at any time other tham 2AM, I'd suggest taking a lunch and a porta-potty - or setting your GPS to "Avoid highways" and taking surface streets between those points because there will be fooderies and gas stations when/if you need that stop. The traffic may not be much better on the surface streets, but you're less likely to be rear-ended at 80MPH by someone who ignores the flashing "Lane Closed" signs until they're within 20 feet of the barrels...
