While checking a Georgia Power outage in the Southwest part of the state, there's an update of the outage map and the outage of 826 meters now has an adjacent outage of 565 meters. There's no bad weather in the area, so are these cascading failures (failure 1 led to failure 2) or are they simply on the same substation feed (failure2 is closer to town than failure 1)?
Do you get a rebate if the power company shuts off your power so they can restore someone else's power?
These two outages account for almost 90% of Georgia Power's outages statewide.
