A friend mentioned that he was studying Biblical Hebrew because he wanted to read some of the Bible in its original language. He told me that the original written language consisted only of consonants and that the "jots and tittles" that are the vowels were added relatively recently (1000 - 1500 years).
I told him that I now understood why the faces of some of the old prophets and kings were so sour - imagine waiting thousands of years for a vowel movement.

Tell me again, was it faces or feces that were sour after thousands of years?

Here's one to bake your noodle:
When God spoke to Moses via the burning bush, did he hear it in Egyptian or Hebrew?

Here's one to bake your noodle: When God spoke to Moses via the burning bush, did he hear it in Egyptian or Hebrew? God spoke - no reason it couldn't have been mental communication so there was no possibility of error.

Direct mental communication, pictures, trainin' and verbal coachin' can still let me screw up. I blow it with the classic boot>directions>heel...
