Friends,
This fellow has a Forum that only has 3 active members at present.....
And he has a big Cache filled with some of the most imaginative ideas that I ever saw.
The story that I like the best is called "This Present Darkness" Its about a World where everyone is Blind.
Mankind has been Blind for centuries. The Theocratic rulers believe they're being punished by God--but they believe that one day the curse will be lifted, once they've suffered enough--and proven themselves.
Now a little girl is born who can see.
If the priests find out, they might kill, Blind or lock her away forever--or maybe use her as a tame miracle.
They are mostly of the opinion that it is far too early for the Plague to be lifted, and the little girl comes from the Devil.
All the time, there's fascinating hints that just out of sight, there may be a whole other World.
(These people live on an oval of Rail. They have a train that travels the circuit continually. It takes two or three weeks to travel the circuit.
All the Towns are on the inside edge of the Rail. Hobos and other people too poor to ride, walk along the tracks.
The Hobos have secret shortcuts across the oval, and a few "Hobovilles" unknown, and unsuspected.....
But sometimes a brave explorer will travel away from the oval--and so far, none of them have ever been heard from again.)
His latest story is a variant on the Plague/Zombie theme.
For some reason, every Woman on Earth simultaneously has this Compulsion to kill every Man they possibly can--While Men's minds are apparently unaffected.
This gifted Writer's name is Stephen Bartok. He gave me permission to share his stories at my discretion, so long as I gave him credit.....
But I can't seem to copy and paste his stories.....
I don't know if the Fault lies with my Sister's Hammed Apple, or that Hammed YUKU Site's weird format,
Go check it out. Read one of the stories to convince yourself.
Join the poor man's Forum, for Cryin' in a Kerchief. He deserves more than two members.
He might post his stories here and take part in this Forum, if enough folks invited him.
He's about given up on Forums at the moment.
