I guess that'd be a bit different than goin' to town on a pass, imbibin' a bit to much in one's intoxicant of choice and wakin' up, wonderin' how you got to a different place? Especially when all the street signs are in Japanese.

Was stationed in Panama (Albrook AFB) while in the Air Force, while sharing a room with 3 other guys. Being military, the ladies downtown knew when we got paid. Anyway, James takes off, spends what money he has while keeping some back for cab fare. Gets out of the cab and as he's had quite a few, realizes he wasn't going to make it into the barracks. Solution? Go to sleep on the lawn in front of the barracks, where he layed for about 4 hours before waking up and making it back to our room. Anyone remember the comic book Hot Stuff? It's about a little devil and yeah, that's when he found out he'd gotten a tattoo of him on his left shoulder. Then there was the time James got ripped again.
Albrook was going to be handed over to the Panamanians under Carter, so new guys were being assigned to Howard AFB and as others went back to the states, their racks, mattresses were piled up in the common area where there were chairs and a pool table. James made it up to the 3rd floor where we lived, but not our room. Solution? Crawl in this maze of bedding and sleep it off. He didn't show up for work and things started hitting the fan. Embassy was called as it was thought he might be in jail or worse. About 6 hours later, someone heard him snoring and woke him up. Best part about this? Base/squadron commanders were so glad he was okay, that he never got charged with anything! Imagine this happening in today's PC military. And this wasn't the first time either.
1st Sgt. had the nasty habit of waking you up when room inspections were being done, no matter if you'd gotten off of work and were sleeping. He went to wake Mark up and Mark socked him on the jaw! Of course, charges were brought against him, but were dropped as it was shown that no one could be held accountable for the first 10-15 seconds of being woke up. 1st Sgt. quit waking people up after that.
