I'm sure everyone has heard of this and is keeping Norweigens in their prayers. When I heard of it, all the summers at church camp and sending my kidlets to 4H camp flashed thru my head. At 4H camp, there were more adults and I know there were firearms (kinda hard to do shooting sports and shotgun without them!), but at church camp, we would have been sitting ducks. I hate to say this, but I feel it is only a matter of time before something like that happens here. I pray everyday for the protection of my children. I am also seriously considering getting my concealed carry license. Just one person....just one person could have put that monster in Oslo on the defensive and saved lives. I'm not so foolish to think he/she could have saved all of them, but at least a few.

I'm still trying to figure this one out. The explainations I have heard just don't make a lot of sense. You are right though, it really could happen anywhere, just takes one nut job with a gun-- don't get me wrong: I'm not against guns, I am against nut jobs running loose.

When I got my CC, I only planned to carry when I was going to be out and about alone at night. Then I got to thinking about how I would feel if someone were hurt (or worse) by a nutcase when I might have been able to make a difference if I had just carried my weapon. Now I carry every time I leave home.
