I win't argue with that. I just completed placing my grocery order online a few minutes ago. At least I don't have to put up with the crowd. I pull up and they put them in the car. The pickup area is even covered.

I'm currently the "designated driver", getting the better half to after-surgery followups and did grocery shopping yesterday. Waited until 7PM so most of the "on the way home" shoppers were gone (except those doing deli takeout). But I did have a long list of BOGO items so I went down 80% of the aisles. Good that I had medicated before I left the house or someone might have been pushing me to the car in a cart.
Waiting for the plumber to come replace the overflow and some other bits on the tub in the master bath - the brass has deteriorated over almost 50 years. I had researched and tested as much as I could from floor level - standing on a ladder is several times as taxing on your body as standing on concrete because you're balancing on maybe 1/3 of your foot surface and doing constant corrections - even if you don't notice those movements :-(
10 years ago I wouldn't have thought twice about going up the ladder with tools to do that work but now it's out of the question :-(
Time for more Rx pain med before I lead the plumber through the basement again - I know where the light switches are ;-)

Didn't have strollers for either of our kids - some of the cars were just too small to fit strollers into... And you're getting that comment from the guy who bought replacement folding attic stairs from Sears MANY years ago and I thought the guy at the warehouse was going to have a heart attack when I drove up in a '68 VW beetle ;-) But I had done the math - move the passenger seat all the way forward, fold down the back seat and the stairs would fit in the back with just a little twisting and jiggling.
Both kids went to college on a little scholarship money, campus or co-op jobs and the occasional "Dad, I don't have the money for car insurance this time."
Both grands seem to have been taught that same respect for money and intelligent use of it. The older one graduated with a double major. The younger one has been invited to Portugal for a work-study session this summer. Yes, I brag about my kids & grands - you should always note the things kids & grands of any age do well.
