www.aliexpress.us/item/2251801124682230.html$25 + tax, free ship Saves 600 fingerprints, 100,000 accesses, can be accessed by password and fingerprint. No, it doesn't talk to a computer. It's a timeclock that runs on 5 volts DC and exports data to a USB drive in a format that Excel can read. Beats the heck out of the line-powered timecard stamper at one place I worked. If power was off, it lost track of time and the print wheels had to be turned one notch at a time until you got to the correct time. That would have been a great place for a long-run UPS that only needed to provide a few watts - whatever the clock motor that drove the wheels used.

Apparently they are clearing out the old version of the device. Better than the stupid palm measuring time clocks I had to deal with at two different employers in the past. Those things were not very reliable.

That one place was the only job where I used a timeclock.
Some of the consulting work I did had an Excel timesheet that I filled in weekly and sent attached to an email but, other than meetings and conference calls, my time was mostly my own. They wanted 8 hours each day (or whatever was defined that client) but which 8 hours wasn't important - just meeting the deadlines.
