Some Clarification from the owner

We have had a number of people from a certain other board come over here and join in the past week, due to them finding that the corporation that owns the board claims all rights to their stories - that is very common when you go onto a corporation website - even if you don't know its a corporate website (and many are).

First - Welcome, I hope you enjoy the stories here, this board was started when the old 'cheap tree rat' board deleted their story section -- their board, their right, but it created an opening for me to start this board.

Second - This board is owned by me, I'm a real live actual person, not a company or corporation. My name is Mike and I live in the Dallas, TX area. I'm a writer also and post my stories under the screen name mnn2300. Myself and 'kaijafon' (another real actual person) are the only staff members here, currently at least, if we get busier we may add others in the future. We do this in our spare time, we have real lives, jobs to do, bills to pay, family to take care of. We're not some corporate entity, just ordinary people.

Third - the Authors of the stories here retain ALL of their rights, I claim none of it, I just want to give people a place to post their writing and have others read and make comments on the stories.

Fourth - If you decide to publish and need your story removed, or if you want your story moved to the 'Completed Stories' section, send us a PM. Just give us a few days because, like I said, we do this in our spare time.

Fifth - I've written the rules in plain English, no corporate legal mumbo jumbo. I'm just a plain Texan who likes keeping things simple. You can find the rules here: Pawfiction Rules (They're in the top section of the board)

Anyway, Welcome! kick your shoes off and stay a while, we've had lots of great stories posted here over the last 6+ years. Not all of them have been PAW fiction but most are, we're OK with you posting other types of stories, or poetry, art, humor, conspiracy theories, etc - all in their appropriate sections.

Don't forget authors like comments - in most cases thats all the 'pay' they get, so please PLEASE post comments for them! And don't be afraid to share this website with others.

More seriously, I haven't been posting stories online for some time. I hadn't heard of these "seize all your chips" sites. Thanks for the head's up.

Hell's Belles, even Amazon Kindle only says that they have exclusive rights to your work for three years. God knows. I'm old and feeble, but I can type. I might be motivated to declare hostilities if I got taken in by such a ridiculous policy.

Yes, thanks for the warning. I appreciate this place. It took me a while, but I migrated here when the old TPASS site closed down a few years ago. I think I found you by following a link on Jerry Young's old site.

Thank you! I remember the cheap tree rat forum and spent many fond hours there. I have also been at the "other" page for over a decade. But my almost exclusive reason for going there was for the stories, so I am glad to have found this page. I hope to spend many moments here enjoying the worlds the authors create.
