I have some non-fiction pieces published but, fiction is not my forte. I do know you have written a good story. It had some great characters, rough scenes and loving scenes. Perhaps contact other writers such as yourself and discuss pros and cons of becoming a published author.
Well done on this story. I enjoyed it very much.

Good job. No idea if there's any future for this as a published story, but I'm glad you shared it here. I'm sure there're others here besides myself who'll be happy to read whatever else you're inspired to write.

A. I would say yes. Publish it. Get a family member or close friend to give a fresh eye to your manuscript to catch the typos that we ourselves can't catch, then put it up on KDP.Amazon.com. It is fairly easy to do and they will even produce a cover for your book or you can do one yourself and upload it with your manuscript.
Only one caveat to this.... You have to let us know here when you have done it. I'd like a copy....

A, aka Shan....
Thank you for the time that you have expended in bringing us "The Accountant"....
You have a gift of writing that keeps your readers howling and begging for moar....
"The Accountant" would make a good E-Book.... There are several here on "Welcome to the End of the World" that could give you the necessary guidance to make this happen....
Be like Paul and take the chance for tomorrow will be here regardless....
Thank you for the hours of pleasure that I have spent reading your work....
Regards,
Texican....

Good story! Publishing with Amazon's KDP is easy as they walk you through the mechanics, but it does take time and you'll need to do the process more than once to get the best layout in your published book. However, "polishing" is important if you want to sell a book. People reading free stories usually have more tolerance for spelling, grammar, punctuation, capitalization and missing or doubled words (you don't see "the the" but the grammar checker in Word or the free tools such as Open Office or Libre Office - and your paying readers - will see it). Remember that people rarely speak grammatically in casual conversation or when excited so take some of the grammar corrections with a grain of salt ;-) Also be aware that Word (haven't tested the others) doesn't always handle complex sentence structure well, occasionally wanting to change "You're" to "You is". Kids often compress words ("Do I hafta?" or maybe "Do I gotta?" instead of "Do I have to?") and that there are regional differences in accent (some people pronounce "help" as though it has two syllables). Find someone who'll proofread your work with an open mind for the variations mentioned above - preferably someone who's a good speller and who also will notice things that don't quite work. Having someone who's aware of continuity is a bonus (Matthew can't do that; he broke his arm in the previous chapter). I'm fortunate that my wife is a retired schoolteacher and is willing to proofread things I consider ready for KDP. Even after I did multiple passes polishing "Accidental Family" for publication, she found some things that needed attention. (Thank you, better half!) You can use one of KDP's generic book covers or you can commission someone at fiverr.com There you will find cover designers who feel they are worth $100 or more and you will find artists who work for much less. I paid $20 for the cover which was drawn using my text description of the scene. I think I got my $20 worth. www.amazon.com/dp/B01LVU5ILABecause I wanted a paper copy (translation: brag book - "See? I'm a published author!"), I spent the extra time formatting a version for paper publication (more work, more time, and Print-on-Demand is expensive for 800 pages so only 2 or 3 others have purchased paper). Good luck with publishing!

Very good job! I enjoyed it a lot. I hope you send another our way. I do very much wish that the likes button was at the bottom of the entry instead of the top. On the longer chapters it is a pain to scroll all the way back.

Explore your keyboard. "Page Up" usually scrolls faster than a mouse or touchpad. "Home" takes you to the top of the page. If you're on a tablet or phone, sorry. A few have a scroll bar you can actually use but many don't get that right.
