Wisetioga,
No, it is me in both forums. willallen has is it right on the different handles, some not being available when I signed up on various forums. I think my stories are on 4 different public forums and one private forum now. No problem, just looking to get more people to read my stuff that I hope has some good info for them. It's my effort to spread the idea of self reliance.

Thank you kindly for the prompt response. I'm glad to know that there is/was no hanky-panky involved. I apologize if I offended you in any way. Never considered that you might be using different names on different sites. Keep writing good stories.

Thanks for another great store, patience. I like how each of your recent stories have an economic/currency collapse as the trigger, but the results are different in each one. I think a currency collapse is inevitable, unlike other reasons folks prep, like an EMP or Yellowstone erupting. :-)

The economy is too dependant on remotely-produced oil for there not to be a real possibility of a collapse.
1. Mid-east oil drops to $40/bbl for several years.
2. Other producers (oil shale for example) can't match the price and either shut down quickly or go broke trying to cut prices and keep running (not likely, as oil shale was discovered long ago but was not profitable to process until relatively recently).
3. Mid-east oil goes to $200/bbl (or more) and the economy goes ka-flush in a matter of months because the previous alternative sources can't be restarted quickly.
Jihad doesn't require people with guns or explosive devices to destroy a country (possibly multiple countries in this case).

"Hm. That would take a while. We'll have to work on it. What do you have planned for this evening?"
I thought she said she had her tubes tied after William was born?

I really enjoyed this story, especially all of the explanations of how to do things. Thanks!

I've read this twice now and it was just as good the second time as the first! Thanks again. If you come back again in a year, it will be just as good the third time. Patience (the late Jerry Conrad, also machinist on some other forums) was a marvelous author. I received high praise when others compared some of my writing to his. I've copied his stories ( Dirty Money, Told Ya So, Transitions, From the Bottom Up, Not Quite Eden) to my laptop to have the stories available in "instant" format and I've probably read all of them at least three times each.

Sadly after I posted my initial comment I saw posts that Patience had passed so I'm editing my comment.
Just read 'Transitions' and also 'Dirty Money". Wow Patience... you were an amazing storyteller! Sorry to see you've not been around since 2015. Hope you're up in heaven still stringing your stories along.

I'm answering myself here ;-) but we do have a doofus in the Oval Office who's doing almost what I described by shutting down US production just when we were at self-sufficiency. Jihad can also come from within...
