This board is for PAW (Post Apocalyptic World) fiction and other Survivalist type fiction (and if its even close we'll allow it). It was created to allow people to both post and read stories.
The authors of each story retain all rights to their stories, this is just an outlet for them and they may: post, add to, change or delete their posts at any time they desire to.
This is not a heavy handed board; we don't require any certain point of view, no certain number of posts to be able to view stories, we don't restrict people or boards on a whim.
We live by 5 rules:
1.) Treat others as you would want to be treated, in other words: Be nice! Constructive criticism is OK, it helps writers grow, criticism by itself may be removed.
For writers: sex and swearing may be a critical part of a story and is allowed, however PLEASE keep it to the minimum needed to advance your storyline and not too graphic. To paraphrase a judge from a couple decades back: "I may not be able to define obscene, but I know it when I see it" and may ask you to remove it or edit it if it becomes too much.
I like to use the following as a guide: Would you want your Mom to read what you wrote?
2.) If rule one is not followed moderators have the right to edit or remove posts and even in extreme cases ban an individual - please don't let it get to that point. Authors are sharing their stories and talents for free and in most cases have: real jobs, real families, time constraints, etc and are doing this because of their desire to share their stories and talents.
3.) Authors, please finish your stories. As a writer myself I understand life gets in the way, writers block happens, idea's run out, but there is nothing worse for a reader that to involve themselves in the pages of a story only to have the author disappear before a story is completed.
4.) Stories are owned by the author and they retain all rights, this is just a creative outlet for them.
5.) If there are problems please report the offending post or pm the admin or a moderator.
And last, not a rule but a suggestion: There is a spell check button available below, Pleeze uze it.
