Some years ago, we had one day with a low of 11 and a high around 70. If you don't like the weather, wait 4 hours ;-)

Just rain and a light show

Got one heck of a light show tonight. Heavy rain and small hail also. 1.34" of rain in just under 30 minutes. Longest duration and most continuous lightning event I've seen in years.
The large hail missed us by a few miles, both to the west and to the east. Tornadoes further west in Kansas and further east in Missouri. The one in Kansas was a large tornado.

What do you call a snow fall when you can count the flakes, as they are few and far between?

What do you call a snow fall when you can count the flakes, as they are few and far between? In Louisiana it's called "a day off."
