I updated the Netgear WNDR4700 router (2012 model) to a DLink DIR-1950-US (2020 model). I gave up two USB ports and a 3.5" SATA drive bay (things I never used) but gained coverage and speed. Not bad for $50 (amazon.com).
The DIR-1950-US does not have an easy way to define an IP address for a device, but the devices on the network where the IP address matters already have that hard-coded address (printers, IP cameras). There is a point-and-click interface to set which devices get which speed range - one slot for highest, two slots for high, a dozen or so for medium. Other than maybe putting the better half's phone into one of the "high" slots so she can watch videos on it, most things don't need any QOS attention.
Once I did the setup of the DIR-1950-US (separate laptop using a wired ethernet connection but there's also an app for your phone) the replacement was "plug and play". Cable from the internet provider to the router; cable from the router to the 24 port gigabit switch; power to the router. All the wifi devices were happy with the new router.
Doing the config from a PC lets you save that config to the PC's hard drive so you can reload the router if needed.
Next item is to check for updated firmware for the router...
