The better half is putting together the Pudding Chocolate Chip Cookies because I can hear the KitchenAid stand mixer struggling through some thick batter. She'll use a scoop to have evenly sized cookies and I'll get to handle the in/out of the cookie sheets to/from the oven as we get the assembly line going for the 4 1/2 dozen cookies to be baked - plus two samples so we can be sure they're fit to serve ;-)
One filled cookie sheet in the oven for five minutes on the lower rack, then it's moved to the upper rack while the next sheet gets its five minutes on the lower rack, then the top sheet out and the lower sheet moved up and the parchment paper and cookies from the top sheet go on the cooling racks, then what was the top cookie sheet back to be refilled with cookie dough and repeat until all the batter is used. Total time was about two hours for mix, fill cookie sheets, bake and cleanup. I did get to lick the mixing bowl (raw dough - HORRORS!) but I haven't yet gotten my sample cookie.
I don't think you ever get too old for some version of chocolate chip cookies ;-)
