I sometimes wonder how USPS manages to move the mail at all. Three packages coming from the same US warehouse, all with the same status message on 8 June: Departed Shipping Partner Facility, USPS Awaiting Item June 8, 2021 at 2:01 am CRANBURY, NJ 08512
Today, one of them has updated status: Arrived at USPS Regional Facility June 12, 2021 at 2:38 am NEWARK NJ DISTRIBUTION CENTER and with a 14 June delivery date (maybe).
Where are the other 2 packages? Not yet retrieved from the bowels of the trailer? How can packages with the identical hour and minute of departure not arrive the same day? More questions for the gurus of USPS shipping...
Then there's the question about speed of movement: Why does it take 4 days to make that trip when Google Maps says the driving time from Cranbury to Newark is 45 minutes via I-95? 38.5 miles in 4 days is slow for a man pulling a cart...

The first two packages arrived together (even though USPS only had local receipt info for one of them) but the other one is still out in Never-Never Land.

I went out to informeddelivery.usps.com (you need to register) to see what was in the queue in packages - but the site is down. Even www.isitdownrightnow.com/ confirms that the USPS site is down. I'll try again tomorrow...

Maybe it'll be here by Thanksgiving?

If I don't give a year, my prediction will likely be correct - just as detailed as Nostradamus ;-)
