I have your IP address - less than a minute to find your location from that. I'll be by with the U-Haul tomorrow ;-) Good luck. I haven't bounced this signal through two different routers, one wasn't located with my cousins in Bavaria and one wasn't located with a coworker in Tel Aviv. So it should be pretty easy. Of course, I don't have any obstacles or reptilian pets around here to problem solve or any camo over my domicile. And as mentioned, I don't have any of my varmint repellants made of lead anymore since that deep water accident....lol.

With our health and mobility issues, don't expect to live long when it gets real bad. Why massive planning and stocking?

Being old, determined to outlive all my previous direct-line ancestors - just need about 6 more years (my wife's word is "stubborn" ;-) plus curious about what tomorrow may bring - such as the oldest granddaughter changing her college major from archeology to education (from the tutoring she did when in high school, she's good with kids of many ages - and more likely to find a job in education - if she can stand the admin/paperwork hassles).

You should live at least another 6 years if one of your experiments doesn't go wrong and you no longer stick you fingers in the light sockets for the thrill and to recharge your senses. Texican....

I highly recommend that your dear grand daughter to be selective in where she chooses to pursue her teaching credential. As I am a recently retired grade school teacher, I have seen the crazy actions of administration, school boards, teachers, students and their families. I know many former public school teachers who are now teaching on line classes for profit and non profit schools, tutoring home school pods and individual students. Taking special education classes will help her understand tge unmet needs of students in the regular classroom.

The preacher about fainted when they said that. He had been in some rough areas, seen some very rough people and had been run out of towns for preaching the gospel of Christ. But he had never seen anyone as dangerous looking as Ed and Donna. When they had come down the aisle, he had thought he was going to be killed. The preacher spent some time with both of them, showing from the bible that every person is a sinner, that the wages of sin is death and an eternity in Hell, that Jesus Christ was the only begotten son of God, that he came in the flesh and died on the cross as payment for sin, that all a person had to do was repent of their sins and accept Jesus as their Saviour. Ed and Donna both accepted Jesus as their Saviour and made plans to be baptized in the local pond tomorrow.
The traveling preacher was staying around for a while and spending time with them. He had given them each a bible and was teaching them from it. He was also telling them what he was seeing in his travels, the lack of food, the violence taking place, FEMA taking over areas and doling out small amounts of food in exchange for people's guns. Some areas had even started moving people to FEMA camps after the guns were collected. The preacher had even seen FEMA soldiers enforcing it. He told of family and friends turning in gun owners because FEMA had said no food for anyone unless all guns were turned in.
Ed and Donna told him that they had already been attacked several times. The preacher had a shortwave radio that they listened to in the evenings and heard what people across the nation were saying about things happening in their area.

Difficult to trust anyone these days, especially if the SHTF. It is good that they are building a relationship with this preacher, but they still need to keep their OPSEC. My pastor(s) never have/had any clue about me, even though I interacted with them a lot as a musician in their praise bands. Heck, the boss here in the house doesn't know everything. Seems I have a lot of "camping" equipment stored away.

Then on her deathbed, she took her knife with a razor sharp 5 ft blade and stuck in my back and turned it every which way with her talking about her adulteries.
I feel like "John" the way I've been kicked around since then. I know there has to be a good one out there but I sure haven't found her in the years since.

When there was a discussion of having armed security at the church (concealed carry holders) some of the least likely-looking folks were the ones who had a CCL. Not everything needs to be public.

ian,
Thanks for the chapter. Here is something to think about.
that the wages of sin is death and an eternity in Hell
Revelation:
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. The one who overcomes will not be harmed by the second death.
Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death—the lake of fire. 15And if anyone was found whose name was not written in the Book of Life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
But to the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and sexually immoral and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their place will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur. This is the second death.”
There is a second death which is the death of the soul. How long this takes is unknown, but death means the end of life or in this case the end of the soul.
Just a little to ponder over the weekend.

Over the next few weeks FEMA really upped their propaganda. FEMA was wanting to move everyone to camps so that they could be better taken care of. Already several busloads of the elderly and sick people had been loaded up and taken away. Their families had never heard from them again nor had even been told what camp they were at. But no one was questioning it because of the free food and free everything being offered at the camps. It was like most people lost all their thinking ability when they heard the word “free”. Both sets of Ed and Donna's parents were trying to get them to go to the camps so that things would be nicer. The few people that were refusing to go were being ostracized.
Within 3 weeks everyone that wanted to go was bused out but Ed, Donna and the traveling preacher had stayed. After the last busload of people left, 2 buses came into town. These each had 30 FEMA soldiers and their gear. Things were quiet for 2 days, then on the 3rd night they could hear some sporadic shooting in the town. They were on alert but saw no one.
The next night it must have been their turn. 6 FEMA soldiers showed up and just started shooting as they ran at the house. Ed and Donna opened up with their FALs and the preacher had an AR15. The FEMA soldiers seemed to of had no tactical training and were soon all down. While Ed checked them, Donna provided watch. All the FEMA soldiers looked like inner city thugs. A lot of them had tattoos which the preacher recognized as gang and prison tattoos. Their weapons were all US military issue M4s though. They loaded the bodies back into the cars they came in but kept the weapons, ammo and food. They found 1 radio that they also decided to keep.
Keeping the radio paid off for them the next day as they overheard plans of a 12 man team being sent out since the 1st team didn't come back. Ed and Donna loaded up their bug out supplies into their truck and trailer and then moved it offsite in a hidden location in case they had to leave. They decided this time not to be inside the house but to lay an ambush outside. They set up the classic L ambush and catch them in a crossfire.
The FEMA soldiers showed up in late afternoon in several cars. Ed and Donna didn't even let them get out of the cars, they just opened fire. 30 caliber bullets from their FALs didn't slow down going through the car doors and windows, just like a hot knife going through butter. The preacher's AR15 with the 22 caliber bullets were not doing the job. None of the soldiers made it out of the cars. Again Donna provided overwatch as Ed and the preacher were checking the soldiers. The preacher shortly lost his lunch from puking at the damage that the FALs had done to the goons. The sight and smell of blood everywhere and the smell of feces as their bowels released upon death, the smell inside of the cars was nasty.
They took all the weapons and ammo and what little food there was. Again the soldiers were all inner city thugs with tattoos. Ed and Donna did a quick discussion and agreed it was time to bug out. They thought about taking the radios but the preacher advised against it with the reason that the radios could be tracked like a cellphone. So they left the radios and loaded the weapons and ammo into their truck and left their home with the preacher following behind in his truck.
They can be glad they left. The next morning all of the remaining 42 FEMA soldiers showed up to attack their place. After firing a few hundred rounds into the house with no response, they went inside to check. No one there, but there was a pair of women's underwear on the floor. One soldier being a perverted thug picked them up. In doing so he didn't notice the fishing line attached to them which set off the booby traps set around the house and property. Ed and Donna were too far away to see the massive fireball created by the explosion and didn't know that all the goons died.

The 3 of them were traveling on the road in their vehicles to put some distance between them and their home. Ed and Donna were not happy about leaving their home and everything they had worked for. But if you looked throughout history, there are many times that people had to leave everything behind to escape evil. They pulled over at dusk in a spot they could be hidden for the night and made camp. No fires allowed so it was cold food for supper as they made plans. The preacher suggested they continue going in this direction and they agreed to do it.
The next day saw them on the road at 1st light. They ran into a FEMA roadblock manned by a 3 man patrol. They pulled up to the roadblock and shot all 3 of them as soon as they approached the truck. No more waiting, just kill the enemy. They encountered 2 more patrols the rest of the day and killed them all. That night they again found a spot off the road to hide in. They decided that it was time to hide the vehicles and continue on foot.
Daylight found them camouflaging their vehicles and preparing to move out on foot. The preacher had a backpack and his AR15 while Ed and Donna had their game carts and carrying their FALs. They would parallel the road but back in the woods by 150 yards.

I had a neighbor who was A very rich Jew in Europe. He had a nice home, owned a factory, was rich. The Nazi came and said they were taking over. Expecting him to object, be a lesson. I stead he gladly agreed. Offered to help on any way. He was sent home. He did not go home, or to bank. He got on the train with cloths on his back and got away. Made it to America. His only actions was getting word to extended family to get out. Few made it.
