About as inexpensive as I've seen for a 1700/2000 watt inverter generator. The specs list run time as 10.8 hours (1 gallon tank) at 1/4 load (425 watts). I know what OUR average power load is in "Wait until daylight" mode and the average power is under 300 watts - obviously higher if both fridge and freezer are cooling at the same time. And that "1/4 load" doesn't address the 1000 watt electric heater you use to warm the bathroom before a shower - although it would run a 5000BTU window A/C about that long ;-) tools.woot.com/offers/wen-56203i-2000-watt-inverter-generator?ref=w_cnt_cdet_tool_dly_wobtnWoot is an Amazon company and most deals are one-day-only. This is where I bought a Wen 56200 inverter gen (1600/2000 watts and the predecessor of this one) for about the same price a couple of years ago. I'm posting this around 1PM EDT so the deal is valid for 11 more hours - until midnight EDT. The offer lists free shipping for Prime members. The colors of the plastic shell have changed and the continuous power rating is 1700 watts, up from 1600 watts, but it appears to be the same gen as I have. It runs from the built-in fuel tank - it does NOT have the built-in fuel pump of the Honda inverter gens that will allow continuous running from a larget fuel tank unless you design/build an alternate fuel delivery system (you will find some ideas on Youtube). For short-term power, whether camping or dealing with a grid outage, this might be fine - you need to determine what YOUR needs are, both peak power and number of hours of backup.
