The other electric co-op in our county also serves portions of 4 other counties. There is a point at which the borders of 3 of those counties converge and that co-op has 800+ outages at that exact spot this morning - first reported at 0530 and expected back on at 0930.
Someone who had their alarm set for 6AM may have a rude awakening when they find they've overslept by an hour, they don't have time for breakfast if they get a shower and the electric hot water heater has cooled down somewhat from its usual temperature and they may not have enough hot or even warm water to finish that shower.
It's OK if they start the day with a cool shower as the afternoon high is predicted to be 95 and the heat index will be 8 or 9 degrees higher.

Lots more people were awake and aware of the power outage by 0735 - the outage count then was 1200+ and the restoration time was 1145. Unless the repair crew did something to make the outage bigger? They sometimes have to shut off a feed to an entire area so they can repair a section of wire.
