Welcome to all the new members. Like y'all I just wanted a place to read good PAW fiction without a lot of rules or fussing. I do thank Jerry for being the major contributor on this board so far, he has really helped get this board running and on the map with his wonderful stories. And for all the new writers - much thanks also, we can use all the help we can get with stories.

Hi. My name is Patience and I'm a wannabe writer. If I muster the courage someday, I'll try to figure out how to put something up here. Meanwhile, I'm enjoying the works that are already posted and loving it.
I sincerely appreciate the works here and the efforts of the Admin to bring them to us. Many thanks!

Don't be embarrassed, jump right in and get started posting stories. People who enjoy PAW Fiction seem to be a very uncritical group..... Many of them actually groove on lengthy Exposition--Very detailed storage inventories, shelter construction, hardware, Gun lists etc. .....RVM45

I'm a big fan of paw fiction. Reading Lights Out awhile back, online, is what got me started into prepping. I really enjoy the genre. I have read everything I could find by JDY and have two books of his. I am happy to have found this site. I have already enjoyed some of the works here.
Thanks for the site!

Howdy, I'm the same name most everywhere. I'm really hoping that this will be THE place to for folks to post their paw stories. Even if you have a favorite other forum......... just post a copy here to for safe keeping. Not a writer myself altho I've tried. To many young kids underfoot now to try again, perhaps in the future Is KathyinFL posting on here? I was in the middle of one of her stories at Frugals when the craziness apparently went down. Anyhow, thanks for creating a central spot for us readers (and the writers of course).

Idahobob here.
I'm not a writer but avid avid reader of PAW fiction. As I have been prepping for many years, I enjoy the fiction as it opens the horizons up for what may come.
Got banned over at that "other" site under this name, for a low post count, came back on under another name and could not access the fiction section, then after a while it was taken down totally. But like I have said, it's John's site and he can do with it what he wants.
Glad to see some familiar authors here, and hope that more will come over and keep us on the edge of our seats.

I'm a bit slow at times but welcome to the board kathy. I really enjoyed your stories over at the fuzzy rodent board. I totally understand about the time issue, but if you ever have time, we'd love to see some of your stories posted here: old ones, new ones, whatever you are willing to share when you have the time.

Has anyone tried to get TOM to come over? I'm not sure but I think TOM may be having health issues. That along with the death of FleaTaxi seems to have put him in a funk. I did email him but got a short reply. Not short as in "Mind your own damn business" but just "Been busy" kinda short.

Hello to all! I'm Shorty Dawkins. I live in Montana. Been here four years and I'm lovin' it! The scenery is fantastic. The natives are great, though the California transplants are a bit of a pain. (Not all, but a lot of them.) I'll be posting a story or two here. I just posted the first two chapters of Miller's Retreat. It is a work in progress. Glad to have found this site. I think someone on The Mental Militia Forum guided me here.

Welcome Shorty. I know we're all glad to have you here. Thank you, Nancy. It's nice to be around some people who appreciate literature. That this is a PAW site is even better. Shorty

Howdy from south Texas! Just found this site. Yeah, we're slow to catch on here in "northern Mexico", but better late than never I go by this name on several forums; the fluffy-tailed site soured me on writing when the really unfortunate coincidence of shredded hard drive was followed a few days later by disappearing fiction sections. My one long story was pretty much lost when that happened, since I did most of its writing in the "reply" window (THAT is my fault) but the other shorter stuff is lost and gone too. Might try to re-create it someday. Thanks Admin for a PAW-dedicated site! I'll try to make enough contributions to "earn my keep"

See it's been awhile since anyone's stepped forward to introduce themselves. Grew up reading a lot of Heinlein, Edgar Rice Burroughs, the Tom Swift & Boxcar Children series of books. Then as I grew older, it was Mickey Spillane, Louis LaMour (?) westerns, then sci-fi/fantasy, followed by the Gor series of books until the author got too much into the master/slave thing. Had some problems and couldn't get into fantasy any more until I started reading The Dresden Files, I'm not sure if the books fall into the fantasy category like Lord Of The Rings type thing. Rosenberg has several books that fall into the fantasy category that I still read/have kept along with those by Christopher Stasheff. As a child of the cold wars (was a child at Homestead AFB, Fla. during the Cuban missile crisis and I not only KNEW what a nuke would do, but KNEW Homestead was going to be a target) read Alas Babylon and a few others. Tried writing a survivors story of post WW3 between Russian/the U.S., but didn't have a typewriter and as for pc's-----you'll never see one in everyones home because they're too expensive/big. Of course, that's what "they" said about VHS machines/tapes, digital calculators, cell phones, etc.
