Are you an established author if someone that knows you buys a paper copy of your book so they can get your autograph?
I'll be signing another copy of "An Accidental Family" next week. That will bring the total autographed copies up to two. ;-)

When I was much younger (under 25) I occasionally dreamed things that came true. One that stuck with me was being in a large trapezoid-shaped classroom with green chalkboards on the long wall, doors on either side of the line of chalkboards and stadium seating. I later attended class in that room at a local college. The room was in a building I had never been in before taking that class. I think the 'ability' possibly got overwhelmed by the busy-ness of earning a living and raising children :-( I have no idea how you would restart something like that, although it would have been nice to know in advance that the furnace would be out for two weeks in January. I'm in the minority of people who dream in color. Don't know whether that has any bearing on seeing the future ;-) Old thread but it does hit home on the “seeer Stuff.” I dream in color and have had several prophetic dreams in my younger days. But to slow down and recapture the lost ways....

Amazon has some technical problems in the paperback production process. I went in to update the price of the paper copy of "An Accidental Family" and got an error: "Too many pages for format" Interesting that the paperback has been available for two years and is still on sale but I can't update the price unless I provide a "new revised content file" of no more than 776 pages.
Which 36 pages (over 4%) of the story should I leave out?
I wrote a long diatribe about the intelligence level of the people involved but finally saved that to the "outtakes" folder and instead told them I'd consider someone more competent for future publishing, such as lulu.com. And I did mention that I have five more books in the pipeline - several things that have been posted here ("Just Another Voicemail", "The New Old Homestead", etc) and one that's not yet ready for posting. However, posting to the forum is MUCH less work than formatting for Kindle which is less effort than formatting a paperback.
Not sure that I'll ever publish in paper again, although it would be nice to leave the grandkids (and possibly great-grandkids, although those are likely to be some years in the future) real evidence that I was a writer and it is nice to have a copy of my work on the coffee table. Ebooks are ephemeral and only last until the battery dies :-( Ink and paper survive - even from the days of papyrus ;-)

I unpublished the paperback version, edited the original document with a new copyright date and put it up as a "new" book, complete with new ISBN and new page on amazon.com - all for want of a programmer talking with users about how things should be done (no research, just my personal experience). Anyway, the new link is: www.amazon.com/dp/1080833757

Hello Papaof2
I stumbled on this site by accident. It took me few days to read the hole story. But I loved it. You did a magnificent job at writing this story. Thank you very much for the time you invested into this story.
The only sad thing that I wanted to buy the Kindle edition and was not able to. I got the message title cannot be sold.
But anyway I enjoyed reading it and again thank you for the story
Greetings from Europe

Let me know which country.

Okay, so I'm a little late for the party......like 5 1/2 years!....guess my invitation got lost in the ether. LOLOL
This is one of the greatest PAW fiction stories I've ever read, and I've read and reread a whole grinnin' bunch! The effort by the author to continue and continue and continue is awesome.
I left a 5 star review on this book over at Amazon today and just had to buy the other fiction written by this talented author. I should have several weeks of enjoyment from these.
Thank you soooooooooo much!!

More stories are in progress, just not in the immediate future. Be sure to tell your friends about the other authors who post on this forum. The outlooks on our possible future range from "We'll be living like a previous century" (Patience and other authors) to today's "You ain't gonna believe this" headlines of "The Affected" and "Riches to Rags to Riches". We do have some great tale-spinners - and some of them have a more-than-nodding acquaintance with Cliff, as in cliff hanger ;-)

Just found the story a few days ago. It was very enjoyable. Not typical "PAW" `fodder, but an excellent change of pace.
Thank you for the story.

I've seen quite a few of Autumn's videos the last few years. She started really young. I really enjoyed the one where she was making fun of the Feds that decided that a certain handgun had too much recoil and wouldn't use it. She was shooting that same handgun with no issues.

I've not watched all of her videos - but I'll probably go back.
Most definitely NOT the image of an NRA member that the liberal media wants the world to see ;-)
As a character said in at least one story: "Guns are a tool, like saws and axes are tools."
Any evil is in the mind of the weapon holder, whether the weapon is gun, knife, ax or 2x4, not the weapon itself.

I haven't seen them all either. One of the blogs I frequent posts one of her videos from time to time.

Outrageous Acts of Science Science Channel Episode: "Owned It" Original air date: 14 March 2018
About 5 minutes in: Using .22 pistol to light "strike anywhere" match taped to end of wood block by just scraping the top of the match's head and at a good distance. With some closeup, slow-motion video where the match takes several seconds of screen time to ignite.
